Call for art for the “the 700 collection”
Ignite Studio at the Hamilton East Public Library in Fishers has opened a call for art for their annual exhibit, “The 700 Collection. They are seeking art in a variety of mediums for this juried group exhibit with cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Deadline in 1/29.
35th Minnetrista Annual Juried Art Show
Celebrating creativity across the Hoosier state, this exhibition showcases a diverse array of artistic expressions. Juried by metals artist and Ball State University faculty member Patricia Nelson, the exhibition invites any artist 18 years of age or older who isa current or former resident of Indiana. Eligible works include: Ceramics, digital art, drawings, fiber, mixed media, paintings, prints, sculptures, metalwork, and photography. Digitally created art is accepted. However, video and projected art are not eligible. Submission deadline is 1/31 at ShowSubmit.com (11:59 p.m.) $2500 in cash prizes awarded. Orchard Park Presbyterian Church Art Wall
Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, located at the intersection of 106th and Rangeline Road in Carmel established a small art gallery in 2007 with the objective of “sharing the beauty of God's creation and the talent given to the artists.”
The Gallery consists of two 13 feet hanging strips that can accommodate a variety of works--small and large. Easels are available for larger works and a small table which can include information about the artist and perhaps a small painting as well. Generally, each exhibit is up in the gallery for two months. If interested or have additional questions about the gallery, please contact Rachel Faudree at 317.460.4301 or bfaudree1@aol.com.
